How support is organised
Five clear levels of involvement.
Most residents begin at the top of this list. Nobody is moved down it without a conversation.
Independent living
For residents managing their own day-to-day life. This is the starting point and the norm.
Everyday support
Optional practical help when it is useful, organising appointments, transport, shopping, a hand with the things that have become tiresome.
Personal and nursing support
Assessed services according to individual needs, delivered through appropriate and lawful arrangements.
Physician and rehabilitation access
Arranged through appropriately qualified and licensed providers, coordinated so you are not doing the paperwork alone.
When needs change
Support is reassessed with you and your family. Arun intends to support continuity whenever it is safe and appropriate, and will not promise services beyond what can be responsibly provided.
Good care protects independence. It does not replace it.
What we will not say.
We will not promise unlimited 24/7 nursing, guaranteed dementia care, acute hospital care or that you will never need to move. Promises like those are easy to make in marketing and hard to keep in a person's life.
What we will do is be specific about what is available, assess needs honestly and individually, and tell you clearly when something is beyond what Arun can responsibly provide.
How care is priced.
The base residence fee covers living at Arun: your home, half-board, housekeeping, laundry, ordinary utilities, the community programme and shared amenities.
Personal and clinical support is priced separately according to assessed need, so nobody pays for care they do not use and nothing is hidden inside a vague monthly figure.
